If a Wafid OTP or verification message does not arrive, first read the exact message on the official screen and confirm which email or phone channel it names. Check that the address is correct, look in spam or junk folders and follow the displayed resend option. Do not give an OTP, password, card PIN or mailbox access to an agent. If the problem remains, record the error and use the official Wafid support route shown on wafid.com.
Confirm the channel shown on screen
The current official booking page includes an OTP Verification step and displays a resend control when the booking flow requests a code. The delivery channel can depend on the page and stage of the application. Do not assume that a code will arrive through WhatsApp if the screen says email, or through email if the screen says phone.
Check:
- Spelling of the email or phone number entered.
- Country code and active network where applicable.
- Inbox, spam, junk, promotions and filtered folders.
- Whether the code has expired according to the on-screen timer.
- Whether the browser is still on the same official booking session.
Do not open several duplicate booking sessions while a payment or OTP state is unclear. Save the visible error message instead.
Use the displayed resend instruction
Tap the official resend option only as the page instructs. There is no universal resend limit or waiting period that this guide can safely publish. If the timer or error changes, follow the new message. Avoid asking an unrelated person to forward a code: the OTP is tied to your session and should remain private.
If the code arrives late, use the newest code accepted by the page. Do not keep entering old codes. If the page says the code is incorrect, check that the characters were entered exactly and that you are on the same official page.
If the original email is inaccessible
Do not create a second booking with different contact details until you know whether the first application or payment exists. Check the official slip search if a slip may already have been generated. Then contact the official Wafid channel with the minimum information it requests and explain that the original contact channel is unavailable.
For an independent assistance request, use the contact information on the receipt or this website. Keep the official portal and this website’s customer-support process separate.
Security rules
- Never share OTPs, passwords, CVV, PINs or account-recovery links.
- Verify that the address bar is wafid.com before entering official details.
- Do not upload a passport copy to an unknown “OTP recovery” page.
- Do not pay a person who promises to bypass verification.
- Keep a screenshot of the error with passport details hidden before asking for help.
The Wafid FAQ advises applicants with technical problems to use the official contact route and provide screenshots of the error. Follow its current instructions at Official Wafid information.
Frequently asked questions
Can someone else give me the OTP?
No. Keep the OTP private and use only the official verification screen.
What if the email is in spam?
Open the message only after confirming the sender and official domain. Enter the code on the same official page.
Should I make a new booking when OTP fails?
Not before checking whether the first session or payment exists. Duplicate attempts can create confusion.
Can an agent recover my OTP?
An agent should never need your OTP or mailbox access. Use official support or the verified assistance channel.
What if the phone number is wrong?
Follow the correction or support instruction shown by the official process. Do not create a second identity or alter documents.
