A Wafid appointment slip and a completed Wafid medical report are different records with different dates. The slip tells you where the appointment is connected; the report records the medical outcome after examination. Before booking again, read the date shown in the official record and check the current Wafid rules for your case. The official FAQ currently says an applicant with a valid medical report may rebook two months after the date of the existing report, and that the report expiry is calculated from its modification date. Keep the official page and your own record together because rules and interfaces can change.
Three dates applicants often confuse
- Appointment or slip date: the booking record and its validity shown on the slip.
- Examination date: the date you attended the assigned centre.
- Report modification or approval date: the date that can affect the displayed medical-report expiry under the current FAQ.
The dates are not interchangeable. An appointment slip can expire without a medical report ever being completed. A completed report can remain relevant after the appointment visit, subject to the official validity and the receiving authority’s requirements.
What the official FAQ currently says
The current Wafid FAQ says that an applicant with a valid medical report may rebook a new appointment two months after the date of the existing report. It also says the expiry date is calculated based on the modification date rather than the original examination date. The same FAQ says the validity of a current appointment slip is available on the slip itself.
Read the live official wording at Official Wafid information before making travel or visa decisions. Do not convert the two-month wording into a fixed number of days, and do not assume every destination authority uses the same deadline.
Report validity is not the same as employer acceptance
An employer, visa office or destination authority may ask for a report issued within a particular period, a particular document format or a later verification. The Wafid status may be visible while the employer’s internal deadline has passed. Ask the employer or visa authority what date it uses and whether it wants a status check, printed report, certificate or another document.
If your employer says the report is expired, ask for the exact requirement in writing. Do not rely on a social-media answer that says every report lasts the same number of days.
Checklist before rebooking
- Check the official result using passport and nationality or the Wafid slip number at /medical-report-check.
- Note the report’s examination, modification and displayed expiry dates.
- Confirm whether the result is still valid, pending or unavailable.
- Ask the employer or visa authority which document and date it accepts.
- Check the official Wafid FAQ before paying for a new appointment.
- Keep the previous slip, result reference and payment receipts.
If the system says a valid report is still active, do not create duplicate bookings. Follow the official support route and keep a screenshot of the message without exposing it publicly.
If the displayed date looks wrong
Compare the status page with the original report and note when you checked it. A displayed expiry based on a modification date may look different from the examination date. Ask the assigned centre or official Wafid support to explain a mismatch. Request a reference number for the enquiry.
Do not edit a screenshot, change the device date or ask an agent to alter an official record. The correction guide at /wafid-appointment-correction applies to candidate-data errors; it does not create an expiry-extension service.
Frequently asked questions
How long is a Wafid medical report valid?
The current official FAQ states that rebooking is allowed two months after the existing report date and explains that expiry is calculated from the modification date. Check the live record and destination requirements for your case.
Is appointment-slip validity the same as report validity?
No. The appointment slip and completed medical report are separate records.
Can I extend the expiry date?
Do not assume an extension exists. Ask the official support route if the displayed date appears incorrect.
Can I book again while a report is valid?
The current FAQ says an applicant may rebook two months after the existing report date. Verify the current rule before paying.
Does an employer accept the Wafid status automatically?
Not necessarily. Employers and visa authorities may have their own submission or freshness requirements.
