Wafid Appointment Cancellation and Refund: What to Check

Understand the difference between cancelling an issued Wafid slip and requesting a refund, with a safe checklist for Pakistan applicants.

Whether you can cancel a Wafid appointment and whether you can recover money are separate questions. First identify which payment was made: an official Wafid appointment payment, this website’s independent assistance charge, or a medical-centre examination fee. Then check whether a slip was actually issued, keep the receipt and contact the party that received the payment. The official Wafid FAQ directs applicants with a generated slip to its listed cancellation contact and separately explains how to raise a duplicate-payment refund request. It does not create a universal refund promise for every change of plan.

Cancellation and refund are different

Cancellation concerns the appointment record or slip. A refund concerns money and the terms of the payment recipient. An applicant may ask for cancellation but still have no automatic right to a refund. A service provider may have its own policy for assistance work already completed, while a clinic may have separate examination charges.

Before writing, check:

  • Who received the payment and what name appears on the receipt?
  • Was the official appointment slip generated?
  • Was the payment duplicated, reversed, pending or completed?
  • Are you asking to cancel because of a data error, a missed plan or a duplicate charge?
  • Which terms were shown before you paid?

This website’s assistance policy is at /refund-policy. Read it together with the receipt and the official Wafid instructions. Do not describe an assistance fee as an official Wafid fee.

If the official Wafid slip was generated

Save the slip, passport details, payment reference and the date you noticed the problem. Use the cancellation contact or instructions published on the official Wafid website. The current FAQ says applicants should contact the listed Wafid channel for slip-cancellation queries. It does not publish a general button, universal processing time or guaranteed refund for every cancellation.

Do not pay an agent who promises that cancellation will change a medical result or guarantee a new centre. Cancellation of an appointment does not cancel a completed medical result, visa application or employer decision.

If you paid twice

Treat duplicate payment as a payment-reconciliation question. The official Wafid FAQ asks applicants with two payments who want a refund for one to provide identifying transaction information through the listed official channel. Check that the channel is on wafid.com before sending anything. Share only the minimum information requested through a secure official route, and never share an OTP, PIN, CVV or password.

Keep:

  • Both transaction references or bank entries.
  • Payment date, time, amount and currency.
  • The passport and nationality used for the booking.
  • The email address used in the transaction.
  • Any slip, error screen or confirmation message.

Your bank may show a pending authorisation that later reverses. Ask the bank whether the charge is completed or only pending before assuming that Wafid must issue a refund.

If the slip was not generated

Do not immediately make another payment. First search for an existing slip through the official appointment-slip search, check the booking email and review the bank status. If the official FAQ’s listed support route asks for transaction evidence, prepare a redacted receipt or reference as instructed. Do not send a full card image when a transaction reference is sufficient.

For a local assistance request, contact the assistance channel shown on the receipt or website. The payment-proof guide at /gamca-payment-proof-wafid-appointment-pakistan explains the difference between submitting proof to an assistance service and paying on the official Wafid portal.

A safe cancellation or refund message

Use fictional placeholders when preparing a request:

Subject: Request to review Wafid appointment cancellation or duplicate payment

Hello, I am requesting a review of my appointment or payment record. Passport number: [last four characters only unless the verified official channel requires more]. Nationality: [nationality]. Transaction date and time: [date/time]. Reference: [reference]. Issue: [cancellation request, duplicate payment, or payment completed without slip]. Please confirm the correct next step and any documents required.

Do not include an OTP, password, card PIN, CVV or unnecessary medical information.

Questions to ask before accepting a refund answer

  • Is the request about the official Wafid fee or an independent service charge?
  • Is the appointment cancelled, still active or already used?
  • Is the bank amount pending, reversed or settled?
  • Is any refund decision based on written terms?
  • Which reference number should I keep for follow-up?

Frequently asked questions

Can I cancel any Wafid appointment online?

Do not assume that. The official FAQ directs applicants to its listed cancellation contact for generated slips. Follow the current official route.

Does cancellation guarantee a refund?

No. Refund eligibility depends on the recipient, payment status, written terms and the reason for the request.

Can an agent cancel a medical result?

No reliable agent should promise that. An appointment record and a completed medical result are different records.

What if my card was charged twice?

Preserve both transaction references and use the official payment-support route. Do not pay again until the first transaction is understood.

Can I get a refund for a clinic examination fee?

Ask the clinic directly about its terms. An official appointment payment, an assistance charge and an examination fee are separate.
