The official Wafid FAQ currently says an applicant may book in a country different from their nationality by selecting the country where the examination will take place and entering their nationality. That booking function does not automatically grant entry to the examination country, work rights, residence permission or acceptance by every destination authority. Before paying, confirm that you can legally travel to the examination country and that the employer or visa route accepts the resulting medical record.
Keep three countries separate
- Nationality: the nationality entered for the applicant.
- Examination country and city: where the medical centre visit will take place.
- Destination country: where the applicant intends to work or reside.
These fields can have different values. A Pakistani applicant may be able to select an examination country shown in the official system, but the employer, visa authority or local clinic may have additional requirements.
What the official FAQ says
The current FAQ gives the example of an Indian applicant living in Sudan and says the applicant can select the country where the examination will take place and their nationality. The live system remains the source for available countries and cities. Read it at Official Wafid information before making travel arrangements.
The FAQ does not say that a booking grants an immigration visa or that every report is accepted by every destination. Treat booking availability and immigration eligibility as separate checks.
Check before you pay or travel
- Is the examination country visible in the official Wafid form?
- Can you legally enter or stay there for the appointment?
- Does the centre accept applicants who are not residents of that country?
- What passport, residence permit, visa or local contact documents are needed?
- Will the employer or destination authority accept a report from that route?
- What happens if the centre cannot examine you after travel?
- Who pays travel, translation and local clinic costs?
Ask the employer or visa authority for its requirement in writing. A recruiter’s verbal assurance is not the same as an official visa rule.
City and centre availability
The official medical-centre directory can show centres by country and city. Use it to compare the assigned location, address and contact details. A directory listing does not by itself promise a slot or confirm that your visa authority will accept every centre for every application.

Documents to prepare
- Current passport used in the booking.
- Nationality information exactly as entered.
- Lawful entry or residence document for the examination country, if required.
- Appointment slip and payment reference.
- Employer or visa instruction naming the destination and medical requirement.
- Translation or attestation documents only if the receiving authority requests them.
Do not use a tourist visa to work, and do not hide nationality or residence information. A Wafid appointment is one step in a larger legal process.

Can a Pakistani applicant book outside Pakistan?
The current official FAQ says the examination country can differ from nationality where the relevant options are available. Confirm the live form and lawful travel requirements.
Does booking abroad guarantee visa acceptance?

Is this the same as changing the destination country?
No. Examination country, nationality and destination country are separate fields.
